Due to increasing problems with the availability of cathode ray tubes, LCD based digital Head Up Display is demanded. Nexware was selected to design and manufacture a solution for F-16 and FA-50 simulated digital HUD for Korean Aerospace Ind., Ltd. for his Full Mission Trainer of F-16 and FA-50 Jet Fighters.

Nexware’s HUD use high resolution LCD(1280x800 and 1024x768) with own developed backlight sources to provide required image brightness and NVIS compatible light image. All required high resolution, low distortion optic lens were developed in house.

This highly innovative solution met all the Client requirements. The complete system is contained in the space envelope of the original HUD and with no discernable difference in appearance.
